Interesting form

I'm just going by what I've seen. And from what I have seen it's people coming extremely close to injury.

And I'm not saying that all crossfit people are unacceptable to me. And you can't say that their technique isn't horrible. A couple of the guys technique was fine. But with that kind of exercise, it's very easy to hurt yourself. I don't get why you're getting so defensive bro?

All I said is they should go lighter and clean up their technique. Yes, I have thought they may have gone lighter in their previous sets, but 60kg just looks to heavy for a majority of girls (Although I think one could handle it, can't remember).

im not getting defensive, just saying you dont really know what your talking about. that event with that bar is all about getting it above your head

you and your brother have used some of the worst techinique iv seen in your earlier video you posted on this forum. bad techinique is rife in all types weightlifting it comes down to the person not the code.

What I dont think your getting suas is that when lifting odd objects form goes out the window. That is an axle. I would like to see your smurf hands try and grip that then clean and press it with perfect form with your 1rm.

How do you know they were close to injury? The fact that one of the girls kept going after it obviously says she was far from it.

I wouldn't do it because 1. I don't need to and 2. I wouldn't want to injure myself.

Yeah, one of them kept going, and one nearly dropped it on her fucking head. I could understand them going as heavy as they could if they were on their own because we're all like that. But under controlled conditions, they should make sure their clients are safe

this is exactly why Cross Fitter's get a bad wrap!!!!!!

why?

But it's acceptable for a strongman competitor to do exactly the same thing but with alot more weight.... Hmm yeah because that makes sense.

Those girls should get a bit ov training experience before they do anything close to maximal, let alone a complex movement like a push press or a "jerk". You could tell they have probably never been in a gym in their lives, they have no shoulder stability and no co-ordination. There should be a progression from a strict press, building shoulder/back strength and co-ordination of the basic movement before any cues like "jump under the bar" are yelled at them.

The movement itself I have no issues with, but they shouldn't be doing it. No denying they had terrible form on the press and the continental clean, some ov those people in the video were trying to go from underhand to overhand in mid-air! Also the weights were so light it looked like they could have cleaned it (more like cheat reverse curl) without a mixed grip anyway. Pointless.

You could argue that none ov them hurt themselves. But even if an injury risk was ignored, they aren't going to get anything out ov doing it anyway.

Back= fucked with this quality form.

yeah that's why every strongman competitor in nz has a fucked back...

Mind = blown

There is a difference between thrown into this (as the girls + guys seem) than spending years on strongman training... Strongman does not go into doing HUGE as f*ck deads with no experience, their is a level which they start at, set goals and the strive to achieve. These fools seem to be doing what they have been told by an trainer and maybe have only done it a few times. Gain technique then load up. At least that way you know how to do the basics.

holy crap.. i understand it may not be bad for EVERYONE but aren't they using too much weight for themselves? looks like they are even at risk of dropping it on their own heads at the end of the lift, or at least snapping up something on their upper body with that dirty way they're dropping the weights

yea man why are they all using that same weight? is it really possible that they're all at the same exact strength/skill level?

In all the strongman comps iv done most of the events I never practise in the gym I didn't do them at all previously.

U lot are all far to precious, that's why alot of you get shit results.

Point taken, but you still have the knowledge of how it should be done. Where as these people don't seem to know.
