Hi everyone.

Have finished talking with Dave and Lisa and everyone's raring to go for tomorrow's show. Approximately 150 athletes have registered, but at this time, the team are unsure of how many athletes are in each of their classes.

The team arrived in Ireland Wednesday and were greeted with terrible weather and even worst traffic. They are half an hour - (walking distance) from the nearest supermarket and what would normally take 10 to 15 minutes by car is currently taking an hour - because of the shocking traffic conditions.

However, the accommodation where the athletes and officials are staying is fantastic and they are all managing to find their way around. Lisa and Phil look unbelievable and Kagan is absolutely shredded!

The more experienced athletes are guiding our young Kagan - with this being only his third show and first overseas trip - he's taking it all in his stride.

Hoping to have more updates as soon as they come to hand.

Hi everyone

Latest update. There are seven competitors in Phil's class, approximately the same number of athletes in Kagan's class. 12 in Lesley's and 5 in Lisa's.

Dave Smith - NABBA/WFF NZ President and supporter of our athletes will be judging at the show.

Updates will continue as the day progresses.

What a bloody brilliant team of super-human inspirations. So much enduring work, mind straining minutes every day, pushing through workouts to step forth to new gains and the strength of the human mind and conscience - and keeping your eyes pinned on the goal of sculpting god & goddess like physiques!

What a fantastic way to leave our stamp very clearly imprinted on that world stage, and let the world know that us Kiwi's mean business.

I'm sure there will be lots of celebrating and a lot of excited faces to see you all when you return to your hometowns!

Safe travels home & go enjoy a well-earned, hearty Guinness or two!

PS- If anyone has any photo's of the rest of the competitors particulary our boy Kagan and our wonderwoman Lisa they are much appreciated on behalf of Fitness Canterbury and myself!! :)

Well sitting here in Dublin and in case you guys didn;t know on saturday as I finished my routine and stepped off stage in a freak accident \i slipped and tore my achillies heal totally which needs surgery back in \nz. So I am hobbling around on crutches and cant move very far or fast.

I did manage to hobble back on stage to get my big trophy though. So so much for sightseeing in this cool city. However I have managed through my insurance to get upgraded on my flights home tomorrow. Then I guess next week sometime surgery and then 2 or 3 months rehab for the achillies.

Everyone saying including the judges I improved alot this year and they say if I come back next year I will win it. So first get the leg right then see how it all goes and would love to give it another shot. I learnt a lot this year and found what works and what doesnt in the gym and made some good improvements so will be pateint and give it my best shot again. Phil K

Just an update on my achillies, had it put in a cast today which will be on for a month. Luckily didn't need surgery. The specialist today seemed to think it was already starting to mend itself back together. After a month the cast will be taken off and my foot repositioned and possibly another cast for a while.

So could of been worse. I guess 2 to 3 months then back into preparations for next year. Will give it another week and I think I will use my walking sticks and hop down to the gym and do a bit of upper body work anyway.

Thanks to all for there best wishes. Phil K
