NABBA/WFF NZ welcomes the 2012 Competitive year.

We would like to take this time to welcome aboard our Wellington and Tauranga promoters, Terry Hills, Kaye O’Neill and Darryl Schumaker. 2011 has been a challenging year for our athletes, people and federation and they have all risen above these challenges - and with that in mind, we thank them.

We look forward in showcasing these two new events and send a huge thank you to both promoters in coming onboard and supporting this federation. We are humbly grateful and extremely thankful that both Terry as well as Kaye and Darryl will be moving forward with us into the 2012 season.

Once again, to all our athletes, promoters and sponsors - thank you, and we will see you all in the New Year.

Fantastic to see such growth in only the 3rd year NABBA/WFF has been back in NZ with 2 additional shows coming on stream under the control of some of the most experienced promoters we have. The standard of athletes, promoters, judges & officials is exceptional & this is mostly due to the fact that the Federation was formed & operates with integrity, openness & a belief that the athlete comes first. Subsequently, many of these athletes have been assisted into international competitions at the highest level of amateur bodybuilding. I think that all of those involved from its inception can be justly proud of their efforts.

Hi MuscleNZ, Is sending a member of NABBA WFF over to the UK for the Universe as a member of the judging panel on the cards for next year?

Might make going over to the UK more attractive to our top local guys if they know they will get as fair chance, rather than being judged by a largely local UK panel?

I only ask the question based on Riggers comments about the callouts which sound pretty tough as the guy was looking phenominal at the Nationals?

.

Slightly off topic - however. This has been discussed at International Level and this maybe looked at in the near future. All judges must go through the Chairman Of Judges - Nabba UK. We believe that there may have been some discrepancies and as previously mentioned this will be looked at. When exactly will this eventuate, to date this is unsure.

Nevertheless, we can add that our National Judge and NZ Chairperson of Judges - Maree Stubbington - did judge at the Nabba Worlds held in Sao Paulo Brazil. This alone shows that although, change does take time, change will and can occur. This is the beginning, and in time we will see that our NZ Judges will be making a difference on the international circuit by judging fairly and judging with integrity.

Thanks so much for you comments and warm welcome, Ann! It really is an honour to be asked to join such a wonderful organisation and well-respected group of individuals who have the welfare of bodybuilding and every competitor as their main focus and priority.

I know Kaye & Darryl will continue to enhance their reputations as two of the best event organisers around. I'm very excited to be back as an event organiser after a year off for the first time since 2005. As always I will do my utmost to put on a fun, professional and rewarding show for everyone involved - NABBA/WFF, sponsors, spectators and of course the competitors!

Memorial Theatre at Victoria University is all booked for September 15, 2012 and as with the previous 5 shows I have run there it will be an awesome venue with a great atmosphere.

It will also be exciting to run a "one session" format show!

Fantastic to see that the one show format is coming to Wellington. I'm not a competitor but a spectator, and I so much more enjoyed the one show format from a spectator's perspective. And having seen your shows before Terry, I'm sure that you'll do a brilliant job. Looking forward to coming along and supporting.
