First time Cutting

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to cut for the last two months but alas not very well, due to not really thinking about what I actually eat. I mean I eat really well until my husband comes home with chips, lollies and flavoured milk for me. So I had my bf done and Im back to 15.5% (93kgs, 183cm tall) not really happy with myself for that. However, now that exams are over its time to think about myself and my eating.

Anyway I have two plans that I have been looking at, the first one is based on the 40/40/20 and its food that I enjoy but around 2200 cals, the other one is based on plam sized and whole foods it is sitting around 1894 cals with 47P/36C/17F both plans I eat every two/three hours.

I plan on hitting the gym up to six days a week if I need to, with three days area focused and three days a week cardio (which is done with weights, 3 sets, 12 light reps full body).

I need help! What shoudl I do!

47/36/17 = 485 cals.. what id eat in one meal while im cutting.. even 2200 is far too low @ 93kg and 15% bf. id personally start at around 3300 per day 40/40/20 split and drop around 200cal a week untill your losing 500g a week then when you plateau drop another 200cal and so on. also personally i dont do cardio while cutting, my 1st priority is maintaining muscle mass

edit: just saw your cardio is doing weights id personally just continue your normal programme maybe throw in some more volume/ higher rep stuff

I struggle eating this amount of food in my first post. I have increased my intake since starting to go to the gym, I would struggle eating even more. Thanks for your advice

Think that's percentages, not grams

Yes AgentOrange got it right, just gotta stick to your diet and training and not eat the shti your bf brings home. When you're eating under 2000 calories a day it's pretty easy to double that if you have a junkfood binge and that will completely throw off calorie deficit you have worked for
