Try this website, it offers a few:

http://www.coursesdirect.co.nz/courses/ ... urses.html

They have quite a large variety, ranging from really short - 100 hours- to really long - 1500+ hours.

I can't personally recommend the qualifications, having never done one of them myself, but it's something I have also been considering.

oh yeah... what ones did you do?

are they 'regonised' though? im only keen on doing a course that will be valid etc. no point spending 6 months doing somthing that no-one gives a toss about

Personally, I'd far sooner train with someone having years of experience than someone who has done a few courses/certificates etc

maybe i should just look at investing some money in a few good text books and leave it at that

Did strength and conditioning and sports nutrition.. The sports nutrition course is in association with the NZ Nutrition foundation and NZQA.

Did it mainly for personal knowledge but yes helps a lot with clients but at the end of the day experience is everything.. id rather pay a bodybuilder with years of experience in dieting who dosent have a certificate then some 20 something PT with a nutition cert.

Ive almost completed the 3rd module for Netfit Sports Nutrition, didn't teach me anything new, its more about having the qualification to backup my experience. Still good solid info but yes, its pricey. I started it years ago an kept chipping away at it. Really good if you want to do it in your own time and don't want the time pressure.
