Here's me doing 1x8 deadlift of 187kg, currently 6' high weighing 80.5kg. Could have done it with more weight though I reckon

Each side has 3 20kg plates, 3 10kg plates, and the bar weighs 7kg. Plates look different as some are different brands

Sorry for the crap view didn't realise it was so shit till I watched the vid

Nice work Trainhard looking forward to the rest of your vids!

Great squatting Kyle, you Dolans are machines!

Greemah you didn't register but I'm guessing you are wanting to go in Internet Warrior class? Let me know if not. Good work bro, hope to see the other two lifts too.

Not long to go now guys! Get those videos in. As it stands now I'm the only one with all 3 vids in in elite class, Shutupandsquat is leading Novice class by default cos he's the only one with all 3 lifts up and no one has done all 3 in the IW class.

Let's goooooo

good squats kyle! definitly good and not taking away from you. but for someone critiquing other peoples form like in the crossfit video the second half of your movement was like a good morning.

still tho 150 for 8 at your weight and age is very good. well done.

I noticed that kyle comes forward onto his toes while driving up. Is this normal? does it mean that he is quad dominant, or not sitting back far enough?

(Sorry to speak about you in the third person kyle, I just want to ask the opinion of everyone, including yourself).

I figure that although this is a competition, we might as well also talk about form seeing as the end goal is that we each get better at lifting...

I think a lot of it has to with inflexibility through the achilles and relative limb to torso length. It's heavy weight relative to age and bw so at the top end of anyone's strength there is always some stability issues. On a side note toes forward and closer stance like the Dolans use is more for quad development than straight power. You can shift more weight with a wider stance and pushing primarily through the heels because you recruit more glute and adductor. Lower bar position so body stays more upright etc etc etc

Had a feeling you'd say that Tom haha.

I know the technique wasn't perfect throughout the top of it, but it's nearly 2 and a half times my body weight. On my previous sets, my form is a lot better. But I can see where you're coming from. That's why I stopped after the 8th rep. It was just way too fucking ugly I would have snapped my back haha.

And thanks Harry! Yeah, I prefer a close stance as well because I feel I can get deeper.

Squatted 140 kg x7 last night, except this time no knee wraps, just belt and wrist wraps. I didnt even attempt the 8th as my brother called out that the camera ran out of memory so the vid cuts out at 7 reps. I wont post the vid here as it doesnt count anyhow, but anyone that wants to see it can go to my log

Thanks mate. Problem is I do 20 rep squats (currently doing 122kg) so not conditioned for heavy squatting at the moment and probably not much point breaking my routine for a couple of weeks to do the heavier squats for an Internet competition lol
