Cutting whilst having exams?

Hey guys,

Just looking for some input.

It is my last year of school and have my final NCEA exams coming up so have been trying to study, am currently cutting, would it be best to put the diet side of things on hold until after my exams? Else I will just keep cranking the caffeine although I still get pretty hungry while trying to study.

Cheers

I was doing well with my cut till I started to have my exams @ tech... I guess it all depends on you and your will power and stuff...I for one find I get hungrier if I do more studying so I have been putting it on hold as of late tbh (drinking lots of water does help fend the hunger away though )

If you dont think it effects your performance then keep going, I would say your education comes first before looking lean for summer.

Don't let exams become an excuse to eat crap though. It can be done, mental will power comes into play.

Each time I go on a calorie deficit, it seems to coincide with university exams.

It also does seem to help with my concentration with keeping on task, and minimise procrastination but sadly does not eliminate it, thanks to nzbb.

Sweet mate, yeah think I will just need to try a combination of nuts, water and caffeine as don't want to destroy my current cut progress.

Have you tried carb cycling at all whilst studying?

I would have though carb cycling would make it difficult to concentrate. Thats what I found anyway. Usually low carb helps me with mental clarity, that is after being low car for a couple of weeks.

Sweet as guys, only 13 days left and then I am going to go harder than ever before both diet wise and workout wise.

Thats me now, I have finished all my exams and now waiting for my final results to come out from my external exam which hopfully be around the 9 December. I did find it very difficult yesterday when I was sitting my final two exams and I found that I did not eat my meals. But alas its all over now and its time to push, push, and push some more. Flat stomach for Xmas.

Well done, now enjoy your first break and over the hoils have a little look in to what bio/patho phys you will be doing next year. If you dont know then ask your tutors, you should also be able to get books from your library. I personally did find it hard to put the amount of study in while trying to train. Now im finihsed (I dont start post grad work & Study until the 16 Jan) all Im doing is training, training and enjoying on catching up onwatching TV.

Yep, I've signed up for three months at anytime fitness in Hams because I tend to train more than study and it is no good, so been using a door gym I got back home, which keeps you resonably fit, the girls comment but not cut or anything..
