2012 lift dates

Nothing on the NZPF website yet, but keep an eye on the calendar section, they should upate it within the next month or so I'd think. Generally though, a lot of the comps are on around the same time of year.

Can't understand why you're waiting until late next year for a comp? Just get stuck in IMHO  Run a 13 week program (or similar) before something early next year and give it a go. I know you're planning for the end of next year with best of intentions, but it'd be easier to stick to something earlier. I did the same in March this year, just gave one a go with about 4 weeks buildup, and got hooked. Looking back on it, the result was piss weak, but that's why you keep training, to better your last result

My advice is to just target a time of year and get to whereever you need to for a comp that is on at that time. The travel makes it feel more interesting if it happens to be away from home (at least it did for me when I did the Auckland Novice earlier this year).

Otherwise, you're in Christchurch, right? Get in contact with Dr Squat (or one of the boys) at Eastside and see what comps they have planned.

Yup in chch.

yeah 1st comp will just be about learning how it all runs etc, lift 'calls' etc

i plan to head to eastside to watch the dec 3rd comp and learn from that also

Regional calendars need to be sent to NZPF by 30 November so then it is just a matter of them compiling it all together.

Canterbury 3 lift will be in Christchurch next year in April. Probably be one or two club lifts during the year but no other big comps in chch. South islands are Invercargil (June). And Nationals in Dunedin (August).

Will post entries for the 3 December comp in the events section in the next couple of days.

Awesome :D

You wouldn't happen to know when the Otago 3 lift will be do you? Or who I could ask down here that might be able to inform me, Phil Chaney perhaps?

It is down for 14 April in Dunedin, unlikely to change but keep an eye on their website just in case.

Cheers, a date to aim for and I can figure out what program(s) to fit in :D

For regional and island comps (eg Canterburys, Central Districts etc and, South and North Island) will they run as they have been with everyone in one category in terms of gear (Raw and Gear together) or will they recognise Raw lifting separately just at the same comp or will there be separate regional and island comps for Raw ?

Or will it just be that there is a Raw nationals from now on that everyone comes together at ?

Too many questions.. :pfft:
