Schedule your menu so there’s a 2-hour fast before bedtime. Don’t consume any food, supplements, calorie containing, alcoholic, or caffeinated beverages 2 hours before bed; water is okay. You want to get blood sugar levels down before going to sleep; this will facilitate GH release.

Sounds like someone read something about the interatction of Insulin & GH production then spun a new myth together to suit.

If you were trying to grow surely you would eat while awake & the 2 hour fast would kick in while you slept! Maybe you'd lose 2 hours of GH release time but GH aint helping you grow if you're calorie deficient.

Probably irrelevant to most there as they dont seem to value muscle mass over just being lean.

I get quite sick of all this bullshit around nutrient timing and magic techniques with food. Why does it need to be so complicated?

Just eat lots + train hard to get bigger,

eat less + train hard to get smaller.
