How you actually finding the elbows tucked technique?

Bicep tendons will be feeling it because you will be engaging your lats and biceps more to control the bar on the way down. With flared benching there is a lot more pressure on the shoulders and rotators to control the bar.

I would stick with tucking but do plenty of hammer curls and face pulls to help with the bicep tendons and also would try not to bench to close after a heavy back session.
