I want to see if I can find some one who shits money lol

Ummmm question... Don't they drug test the worlds?

seriously? testing at bbing show? lol

Selective testing... But it is what it is. Especially if we want bb to be in the Olympics (never happen!!!)

Well Supry was in his best shape ever, dropped under 70 and didn't place. He is stoked about achieving his best condition and definitely wanting to lift his game. I expect big things from him in the next 12 months. He tells me he feels like he's learning all the time.

Sweet big ask for a LTDF guy looking at the state of those Europeans!

Good on him for getting in top shape - I rate Supry's physique & I'm sure he'll feature heavily in 2012 in the NZ scene.

i wish the guys that get there pro cards here in NZ would atleast have to represent at the worlds first i wonder how they would do hmm?

good on supry looked good as always but i don,t see big changes in his body from year to year besides conditioning which has always been pretty good i know he is natural and respect for that but its still bodybuilding and you get judged against other competitors he should do the INBA and qualify for there universe would have a much better and fairer chance

I spoke with him about that at length and he said he'd rather be a small fish in a big pond, which I totally respect. He's also going to make some changes to his nutrition and some aspects of his training, he basically diets what muscle he puts on off at comp time by working too hard and dieting too hard. Sounds silly but he needed to temper his intensity. I think it's interesting to note that when he first came to sydney he was in great shape at 72k, we made some changes to his prep process and he did the nz nationals much much harder only a week later at the same weight and when he stopped in Sydney on the way to Mumbai he was basically the same weight but shredded. I made him change a few things and he put some of his muscle back on. I think with some changes he can be formidable and a few kilos heavier.

One of the reasons not many NZ guys go to worlds is the politics of a show that size. If you're on stage and there isn't a judge from your country sitting in front of you, guess what... No callouts, doesn't matter what you look like. Plus I think the selective drug testing process is hard to manage.

That and the fact some countries actually treat their top amateur competitors like professionals so it's their full time job. NZ just doesn't have the resources to do that which is a real shame but it is the way of things.

Well done to Supry, bloody tough Contest that.

On a downside to the IFBB Worlds, although not reported here as far as Im aware but 3 competitiors died at the Championships, one at the weigh in and two after the pre judging. Read about it on Get Big and if you Google it there are a number of reports about it. Very Sad.

WTF??

Three in one comp is insane - I would've thought three a year across all competitions was more like the norm? Hopefully just internet rumours but if not a very sad thing.

TWL - why would anyone run diuretics for 4 weeks? Apart from being dangerous in a pre-comp state surely it would cause the body to react and start to try and hold more fluid? Seems bizzare?

Can you think of any other sport where if someone dies let alone 3 competitors at the same time the competition is not stopped and cancelled and an inquirey held and just a mark of respect for the deceased. Im thinking of the Indy Cars recently as an example. Imagine the media and how they would be all over it if it had happened at the rugby world cup, but with bodybuilding its all kept very quiet. There was also a 27 year old guy at the Aussie INBA champs who died a couple of weeks ago as well. Very Sad.

I've seen first hand at the world champs what a lot of guys go through to make weight, its just insane and things need to change, hell people are dying.

It's crazy shit, I ghuess sometimes the mind wants the body what it just can't and foolishly they keep on pushing. We had a guy I used to compete against a few years ago die in between prejudging and the night show one nationals. Didn't even make the news. They just think we're all mental!
