Food on the go

I leave my place early in the mornings and don't get back until late after dinner time so I have been preparing all my meals and liquids (as most probably do) the at night for the next day. I put my food in old fast food containers and my shakes just in a standard shaker. These have a tendency to leak into my backpack and rattle around. I know it is part of the game, just wondering if others get frustrated transporting a full day's food?

How do you keep shakes cold especially during summer as I work outside?

Looking at getting a new shaker, I've seen those ones with pill containers built in what is the verdict on those? Does anyone worry about using BPA free bottles?

cant you just put the dry powder into the shaker and when you want to have a shake use some water from your drink bottle or a tap near by? surely there must be a water source?

I pretty much get up every morning and prepare 3-4 meals for the day. Tuck them away in click clack boxes and into my cooler bag. If Im at sea for the day then its into the fridge or leave in the cooler bag for warm lunches. If Im working at the gym then again fridge or warm meals or I'll cook some steak on the BBQ if its here.

Its a bit of a hassle but its all part of the game.

The training don't mean jack without the food

my mate has one of the shakers with the added compartment for powder so you can mix it instantly after a workout.

he reckons that its only worth paying twice the amount for the bottle if you are always really busy and arent able to go home after the gym etc...

otherwise a normal shaker cup should suffice, but that's just his two cents

I know this is a little off topic, but if you're looking for quick meals for breakfast that have great nutrition, check out this link. It has worked out for me in the mornings. My Indianapolis doctors strongly recommended that I needed more oatmeal in my diet, so this was my attempt! However, I have no advice about the actual predicament you are in, sorry.
