Should get enduro bars on board, we've certainly given them some mighty business lately and can only see it increasing :pfft: KFC would be great too (from Matt  )

Results Powerhouse Open BBro 2011

I have categorised the lifters in to 3 Groups

EQUIPPED

Squat Suit, Bench Shirt, Deadlift Suit, some may only wear one.

RAW

Knee Wraps, Wrist Wraps, Belt

CLASSIC

Wrist Wraps, Belt only

Had a pretty big turnout 47 lifters registered with 4 pulling out 2 Ladies through injury and 2 passed.

We started at 8.00am and were finished by 5.30 pm with a half an hour break for lunch. This was due to the SPEED TEAM our spotters, bi9g ups to these guys. Our Spotter loaders are some of the fastest around, and we had 3 new members so we had a test run the night before. The times got quicker and quicker as we worked hard on being efficient. This is the key to a good comp the Spotter Loaders, the comp can drag on or be a great success which it was.

With the clash of Dates 3 comps on the same day we did not have our usual pilgrimage from Aucks and Waikato BOP. Just as well to with those not there and the 14 CD lifters who lifted the next day the BBro would have been 2 Days. A big field for the ladies even with 2 out for injuries, and a New House Member record for the Ladies Deadlift Tash Williams with a impressive 180kgs @70kgs. A few unofficial Women's records were also broken.

Quite a few Junior novice lifters competed and we will be getting some sign ups, as they all enjoyed themselves. The were godd battles in the 93s and especially in the 105s with Leti totalling 800 at 100.3kgs. Another junior to watch out for is Will Duffy House Lifter Totalled 692.5 at 115kgs 22 years old.

Not to sure what was going on with the House Lifters but we had 4 Bomb

Highlights:

[*]Tash 180kg Deadlift in her First PL comp after sustaining 3 injuries just before the Commonwealth games last year.

[*]Celia Unofficial Squat and Deadlift Record.

[*]Uncle Matt Parslow 58..5kgs 3 x BW + 23kgs Deadlift 190kgs

HJP at 82 240 Squat and 242.5 dead

The Dog back on in the Classic 575kg Total.

Drizzt so close on the 272.5 Squat

Leti with a 800 total at 100kgs

Ben Wilkinson 21 years old 100kg 280 Deadlift first comp

Costa trying to do a forward flip with 285kgs

Professor 262.5kg Deadlift no Belt.

Will Duffy 22 years old 272.5kg Squat just knee wraps.

and a lot more other things happening that I will remember as the week goes on. Bluto Nick R that man is McMassive back in The House. Giving the ladies some big prime beef to look at.

The BBQ never seen kids eat so much as the rapa boys, the meat selection was spot on 100 Minute Steaks, 100 Ham Steaks, 100 Sausages, 100 Chicken Patties, 100 Chicken Wings. Potato Kumura Salad from Tina and PT, 8 kilos of Coleslaw, Tray of bread. Cakes were awesome and the cream well, have to thank The Docs wife Jackie, NFs Mum Karen, Iscariot, and Maria, for the pretty awesome cakes and puddings life savers. Our usual supplier informed me on Friday, that they could not do it, so the above came to the rescue. The Triffle was a big hit, so was the Apple Crumble with cream and the chocolate covered Strawberries.

Just want to thank our Sponsors

OB, wanted to add my thanks to the others... as I said to you personally yesterday, I had an absolute blast, learned a tonne, and I've a feeling I'll be back.

The atmosphere in the 'house was great - and the freedom with which people shared their advice was just as good.

A bit of weight loss over the summer to drop a class, a hearing-aid to help me hear the sage advice  and some time under the iron, and I might just earn my place at the BBQ  :P
