The drug testing topic is long and has been debated many times. Unfortunately as I found out when I was first took a team to compete at the IFBB in Australia a few years back they don't drug test over there. Believe me there were some pretty big girls even before we started looking at the guys!! Now some people would assume that to be a disadvantage to those who did use but our team still managed to clean up just about every category we had someone in.

The main reason the NZFBB adopted the drug testing was because of funding. When you look at our sport and certainly on an international level there is no doubt drug use even in the 'natural' federations. With a decline in the sport here we need to be encouraging people to stay in the sport a lot longer rather than compete once or twice. Would be interesting to hear what other peoples opinions on this are, is having a drug tested federation a disadvantage even though we have another that isn't? Surely having the option caters for both?

Pick out any 5 competitors from any show and 9/10 they will have all sorts of reasons for competing.

From my experience some people just used it as a goal to be in 'bikini shape' others because they liked the process and it was fun! There are people who compete to win but others that aren't worried where they place they just do it for enjoyment!

then why did Mastertel say it is only 4k a couple of years ago? whipdy **it

personlaly, i would love to see NZ atheltes compete in the oylmpia.

i dont condone drugs and do not use them ( i just hate it when enhanced people compete in Natural shows). but i think if you want to be an IFBB international competitor it is nessarcery to have chemical enhancemnet.

NZFBB should have a international show once a year that promotes pro cards and the overall winners get that issued to them. if you have one show for these people and not test, this would clean out the other comps during the year and encourage NZ atheltes to go all the way. Im not saying i want to, but I have talked to allot of guys and there are quite a few that want to be PRO. this would make it fare for every competitor as you would only have the Tested atheletes at the Nationals and a true MR or Ms NZ. not one that gets banned every year and some novice winning the title??

come on NZFBB come to the Party !!

So o2flex you say you don't condone drugs but you do not use them, so the way you look you should do a NZFBB comp and look at going for a PRO card as you tell us that you are natural or are you waiting for the NZFBB to drop the drug testing before you compete at a NZFBB comp. I have seen you over the years and your body has taken shape of someone that his been on the gear where as others that have competed with you in the same time still look natural.

hmmm harsh i have never seen 02flex so cant comment. but from wat hes pmed me and posted on this site he sounds fully natural.

and maybe he just wants there to be a show where u can win a procard. so he can see some of these guys get their dream. cause it sounds pretty hard to get one at the moment?

to muscleroids, well your getting personal there making coments you cant back up. i am completly natural and you can test me whenever!

i have been doing this sport for the last ten years and i am so religous with my eating and training its scares me! i think i have a nazi scrict disorder or something and cant relax. as for my love of the sport. yes i love it very dearly and love see the pros and reading the magazines. but with regards to NZFBB Pro Card, i have no intension or ever wanting one of these as i dont want to become Pro. i know if you want to become one it is a whole different life. or step i dont want to take.

and for your information if you know who i am, do you think i would be judged fairly in the NZFBB? think about that truthfully?

I know that you train hard and your diet is 100%, but as you and I are both aware there are people out who have rather big mouths and word gets around, (or should we say rumours) I don't want to say anymore than that.

As for being judged unfairly if you competed for NZFBB, I would have to disagree, if you deserve to win then you would take out 1st place.

From past experience I would have to say that judging would have to be more consistant with NZFBB than with some of the NABBA shows. NABBA do seem to favour certain long time competitors.

Hi, hows it going.

By your post MUSCLEROIDS i am assuming you either want competitors who are using gear to fess up?

Or are you looking for people to voice their opinions about who they think is using?

I attended the last show, which was the NABBA Counties-Manukau show.

I must say, i was quite impressed with the quality of the show, and the way it was organised.

Although back to your post, yes i noticed alot of competitors in this show that would have been using. And YES BOTH MALE AND FEMALE!

Ok then lets start with the NABBA Counties-Manukau Show and see who could pick out the ones on the gear. As some one pointed out during the week. Off the foram there was one athlete with a lump on a certain body part can anyone say where it was and what class  NO NAMES ok.

Yes i noticed this.

[MOD EDIT: Please do not identify who you think is taking steroids. This breaches forum rules.]

It was on the glute.

I think there were only a few others using gear both male and female.

a couple in the open and a couple in the novice classes. I wouldn't think any of the juniors were doing it, although somtimes can be hard to tell.

thoughts anyone?

Guys - remember it's against the forum rules to suggest anyone is on steroids, unless it has been confirmed. I'm not going to lock the topic (yet) but be aware you're skating on thin ice here. Continue the discussion, but no-one is to be identified, whether by name, or any other means.

I think people really need to get a life when all that interests them is who and who isnt using drugs. I cant say I was watching peoples asres that closely so what you guys are doing watching other mens butts like that so is there something you arent telling us??!! NABBA is untested so NO holds barred so who cares who is doing what, NZFBB test and had what 8 positives last year and I'd like to see how many get the + test at their nationals this year also. I like to keep it natural myself but prefer NABBA since they arent lying and I know what I'm up against. End of the day we should respect any athlete who puts in the hard yards with their training, eating, helping others in the sport and years of presenting the sport well. We need to stop judging, making hear-say accusations and just get on with it!! :pfft:
