Lievremont and Dusautoir handled themselves so well afterwards. Very humble and self depreciating.

It was an ugly win but like Henry said we showed what we were capable of in the semi.

It's damn hard going in to a match knowing you are heavy favourites and to try play out of your skins. The same thing happened in the game against Argentina.

It will be interesting to see how the next world cup goes heading in as defenders.

Word. Really felt for Dusautoir, had to handle interviews immediately after, and getting player of the match seemed a bit like a "participation" medal - you could tell he wanted to just get away from it all at the time. Bit Cringey when Ian Smith called him Thierry Henry at first as well.

Very, very good player and captain, one of my new favourites. Thoroughly deserving of the IRB award.

At the fulltime whistle, all I cared about was we had won, the means and end score didn't dampen my feelings at all. Still don't. Very proud Kiwi 8) Still burping Tequila.

Well, from what I gathered from the final. Just always doing shit in rucks when the ref couldn't see, as well as trying to start fights. I'm pretty sure he did slip up and accidentally call him Thierry Henry right at the beginning - and then the second time (what you're mentioning) was his attempt at covering up for it by bringing T.Henry into the conversation. Would've been incredibly random (although equally as funny) otherwise - imagine mentioning Brendon Leonard in a speech when congratulating Brendon McCullum on scoring a century :pfft:

As for Dirty, I think most players have a little of that streak in them, including a few All Blacks. I personally didn't see anything like that from Dusautoir in the final, but I wouldn't necessarily think any less of him as a player if he did. Alls I saw was a guy who was pretty humble in defeat after playing one of the games of his life, lead his country well :nod:

France got beaten by Italy in the six nations this year and France didn't even win the six nations either.

He MAY HAVE deserved man of the match for the final although I thought it could have also gone to Sir Richie but player of the year??!! come on...

Kaino played every minute bar 30 secs of the All blacks world cup campaign. He also was awesome in the Tri nations etc etc.

He was a beast.

If Dusatoir is player of the year then Kaino is player of the universe.

PS - I don't know Kaino on any level whatsoever, just reckon he deserved player of the year. I just reckon the IRB wanted to spread the love when it came to awards time, can't have the A.b's cleaning up every thing.
