14 wtf lol. I guess it is kind of young to be standing bikini clad in front of a bunch of people(dudes and lesbos), although that could just be my specific set of social sensibilities making me feel that way. 14 is young in the developmental sense though so I suppose the ethics of it are up for dispute regarding physical and mental wellbeing, I mean extreme dieting weight training and having an obsession with appearance at such a young age probably isn't the best for an adolescent, but if that's what she wants to do and it's under the correct guidance who can really say whether it's right or wrong.

Young alright, but the pressures on dieting etc are no different to those placed in high performance gymnastics, ballet etc at the same age.

Personally I don't think I'd be encouraging my kids to compete at that age but if they took to it themselves as a parent I'd be supportive.
