Ask any serious lifter, lifting for wimmenz is fuckin stupid. If the only motivation you have to do something is to gain favour with the opposite sex then yea thats fuckin pathetic if you ask me. Lift for the betterment of yourself, to create something, to win something, to fight against your own limitations. lifting for girls is for insecure douche bags. getting more chicks is a by product of your achievement.

people who use training as a means to score the opposite sex never last long in the game anyway but i must admit it has been a good side effect over the years for me but that is the last thing on my mind when it comes to training

I think all bodybuilders and powerlifters are insecure with themselves to some extent at some stage. If you start lifting to get stronger then arent you insecure with your strength?. Insecure with your body to want to get bigger in the first place? Look at all the guys who started out at 60kg and made it to 100 plus. Why did they start lifting? Because they were insecure about their skinny ass frames. That was me , although im not quite a hundy i was definately insecure with my bodysize. Whatever the reason it doesnt really matter as long as you come out of it a big c*nt.

also lol @ wookie. i'm 5'11 83kg.. started at 58kg. you think i could have done that with pushups and a diet :/?

You actually look pretty impressive and I can tell you've put alot of hard work in. Well done.

But yes, I think you could have done that with press ups, chins and diet. Would simply take a bit longer.

hahaha like I said it should be a by product or side effect of your ultimate goals. Lifting PURELY to appease the opposite sex is silly. Be your own man. Find meaning from your own self improvement not by trying to improve others opinion of you.

Sure a lot of us start lifting out of some insecurity about our size, strength etc but we evolve to develop our own intrinsic reasons for lifting and the sooner the 70kg aesthetic crew learn that, the better. Some no doubt have really good potential but getting caught up in the whole douche baggery of it all not only gives other gym goers and themselves a bad name but won't lead them to any real achievement.

Really all I'm doing is pointing out this fact to these "aesthetic" guys so they learn to look at lifting from a perspective other than that of bitches and beach bodies.

Lol at people bashing people who weigh 70kg's :pfft: . Bet Daniel Hibbs would smoke most of you and he's under 70! Yikes!

I don't see why people care about weight so much and try to be 100kg when they look nothing like the pro's? :?

EDIT: Honestly, I reckon each their own. If these people want to impress the girls, let them do so.. Their choice lol.. Right?

Anyone who participates in fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, sports, etc good on you for taking control of your life & bettering yourself! We all fall into the same caterory. Anyone who makes out their goals or beliefs are superior/better than others, shame on you !!!!!!!! If you are one of these, you are one of the many true losers that walk this earth! People who have nothing to do with the gym, read this site, you ain't the only one here. I feel ashamed reading & knowing I'm apart of a group with so many big headed arrgorent c*nts! These people are giving the rest of us a bad name!

If you plaster your pics all over the internet looking for compliments, and expect people to be amazed by your swoleness when you're simply lean with a bit of muscle; then you're fair game.

Hibbs is a different kettle of fish. He's a legit bb.

Fair game in your eyes and some others, sure. But there are alot who are amazed, look at their youtube videos lol.

What makes someone a legit bb?

I started to do push ups because i wanted to pull more chicks (Push/Pull routine) :shifty: that was a long time ago, but why is that so bad??!! I was a healthy young dude who had a healthy apetite for the opposite sex. Not insecure, just wanted to be better and look better.

I spent all my wages on doing up my car, did the charm workouts every now and then and loved the attention I got from the chicks, thats what boys do, thats what they're supposed to do, I'd be worried if they didnt!!

It wasnt until a long time after that I got into actual bodybuilding for the love of bodybuilding and had nothing to do with chicks or anyone else it was for me and me alone. It was about the personal challenge, bigger, better etc, where bigger was better and I wasnt big enough until the chicks started reffering to me as ugly :pfft:

^ I agree. Sick of the bullshit like "You're gay if you want to look good for chicks." People have their own motives and reasons. I do it for myself, and no one else (other than judges). But why not do it for sexual appeal? Pretty sure heaps of dudes on here would go out looking for "sluzzas".

Oh and for the 70kg thing. Is it okay if you're 5 foot 3 to walk around like you're big? It makes me feel a little :shifty:

When we say 70kg dudes with abs it is with no disrespect to any legit bb like Hibbs its merely a overly simplistic description of this new "aesthetic" phenomenon.

Come now, dudes who have started training for all of 2 weeks and flexing in youtube videos running round like douche bags are fuckin annoying I think it just belittles the sport somewhat.

No ones saying its gay to look good for chicks, I started lifting to look good for chicks, all I'm saying is at some point it has to give way to an intrinsic reason, its a much more powerful motivator.

Never said YOU said anything about people thinking it's gay to lift for chicks. Just stating that people to say that, which is just redundant.

I understand where you're coming from though. But I guess it's them gaining confidence, which can't be too bad, but when they start flexing around an alpha male :naughty: hahaha.

Aesthetics are for for the homos,

"Bodybuilding" Means building the body big as it can possibly be. Go the freaks, f*ck the beauty pageant.

you should stop lifting and just eat heaps of food so you become a fat c*nt if size is all you want...im guessing you want to look good aswell though?

lol at Wookie

hit the nail on the head, I can't stand thes 70 something kg douche bags walking round like they are some kind of big shot coz they have a little 6-pack. Some kid on there was asking for cutting advices because he wanted to be ripped for summer, he had the physique of a 12 year old malnourished ethiopian.

these guys are the kind of idiots lifting for the wrong reasons, i.e. to try and pull chicks.

lol you're such an arrogant f*ck.

who are you to define what are the right and wrong reasons for lifting?

its about motivating people to become BETTER than the 70kg with abs they are now. its about pushing people up, not bringing people down.

ha ha ha ha ha so Wookie makes a generic statement and you make a personal attack? Nice work... you should go fight him.... haters gonna hate lol isn't that the line?

Dear bulkers,

In all seriousness.

Can you tell me with a clean conscience that one of the main reasons you bulk is not because you are lazy & prefer the easy way out?

Do you feel ashamed when you tell someone you lift weights & go to the gym everyday? I guess no one knows you workout looking like that?

Do you dislike the clean, ripped look of a lean body?

Do you think people respect you more because of you overall 'mass & size' ?

Dear muscle 99,

do you use the excuse of staying in shape and maintaining your "aesthetics" as a reason not to lift anything heavy?

does squatting scare you?

do you dislike the look of a powerful physique?

do you think people think you are "awesome" cos you are lean?

Ridiculous eh? Kind of like what you wrote.
