hey guys. interested to know how often you guys cheat on your diets and what you usually have. personally i like to stay away from fast foods and stick to things like lasagne or home made burgers etc. although i will buy a pizza etc from time to time. a bit of ice cream never hurts either. i usually cheat 1 or 2 times per week

My cheat meal usually depends on how close I am to comp. Quite far out from comp I'll go for gold and eat anything - pizza, takeawayse tc... but the closer I get to comp I'll try and have home made cheat meals like home made burgers or even just a good steak/chips with a dessert so that the calories are high but they're not as processed etc... I just have the one cheat meal/week.

On the weekends I normaly have a couple of cheat meals which chips,or fish n chips,pizza home made or hell's pizza as for when I go on hoilday I few cheat meals like pizza,or burgers etc and when I go to the sevens it is lots of cheat meals like burgers,hot dogs,chip,chicken and chips,pies,coke etc.

Personally, this is one time where I'll probably use IIFYM. But I'll generally have a limit as to how much carbs I can go up to and then I'll stay like 20-50g away from it to be on the safe side. When I got 4 weeks out I'd have on cheat per week and the other day would be increased potatoes or rice. I think next time round though I'll start doing that for both days. Clean up the diet, clean up the stage.

If you follow 'IIFYM' cheat meals are a thing of the past because you aren't 'denying' yourself of food you enjoy. But if your extreme you will reap the consequences such as fatigue, energy lows, feeling like shit etc. If all your meals are food you don't mind eating, cheating or anything doesn't even enter your mind.

After all food is fuel, eat to survive...
