Removal of APT Gear from IPF approved list

"Dear all,

due the fact that the company APT-Pro Wrist Straps does not fulfill their obligations to the IPF, all equipment from the company APT-Pro Wrist Straps will be removed from the IPF approval list with the date 31.12.2011.

With the date of 01.01.2012 the equipment from the company APT-Pro Wrist Straps will be not longer allowed to use at IPF championships or championships of IPF affiliated member federations.

I've heard really good things about one of their sets of wraps, gutted I won't be finding out first hand now I guess!

Yeah I think it was Tonka was talking about the stragulator hybrid or something...he thought hey were pretty good and he'd know! I hope its not another anal IPF rule because of the equipment itself :?

It happens, they will just pay their Franchise fee and all will be good, It happened to Metal a couple of years back I think. At least they have till the end of the year.

Yeah some thing happened with both Metal and ATP at the start of 2010, both paid before the cut off.

I use ATP Strangulator wrist wraps and they are brilliant, by far the best I have used.

I have The Black Mambas for Wrist and Strangulator for the Knees. I have yet to use the Strangulator's in a comp, may start next year, used them in training once.

I hope they sort it out... The ATP guy always done right by the lifters, sponsored quite a few and always had some give away for little quizzes of power lifting history etc...

I read it on an other forum that ATP is having a bit of trouble since EFT snatched up their supplier. Not sure if any truth to it but they sure as hell don't have the same amount of stock on order as they did a few years ago.

APT gear is good... I've got their knee wraps, wrist wraps, and lifting straps. Solid stuff.

sounds like the UFC... "pay us 100k so you can sponsor OUR fighters, or you logo/gear will be banned" not sure if that's per show or per year though
