Are there many Crossfit people in the house?

I don't do it for the sports benefits, as I don't do anything else but weight train, ass kicking and Crossfit.

And Tom, calling him the fittest man in the world is their opinion, based on their targets and system. Much like Tae Kwon Do black belts being labelled 'lethal weapons'. :pfft: Only in their own world, under their own rules.

High reps can be a disaster for anyone with poor form or too heavy weight, for their abilities.

As for the business model, sure, the creators are sitting pretty, complete with fake tits and tans to prove it. It is similar to a macDonalds, yet it will improve you health, unlike McShit.

Bagging it because it involves group work is moot. It does not always work that way. No different to working ot with a mate in the weight room. We dont all do it, but it can help if people choose.

For me, starting off in teh weight room was an asset. I had a good physique to lean out.

If you want to be strong, you definitely should pass on it. If you want to lose that gut, give it a go.

If you want to have great cardio and endurance, with a toned look (not like marathon runners) then consider it.

and I am always suspect on any nutrider for any sport/activity. I won't be tattooing its merits on my skin, but I believe it its holistic benefits. I won't be passing up on regular weight training, nor will I be blind to the benefits of other pursuits.

I recently got into crossfit, and it kicks my ass :)

At $140 a month (Crossfit Manukau), it's definitely not cheap. But I've found that the workouts have carried over to help fitness with touch and netball.

The only drawbacks I've noticed as a newbie is that my form tends to go out the window with olympic lifting when rushed for time, and kipping pullups are a bit weird when you're used to strict form.

But otherwise, it's great for something different and has a fun team and competitive atmosphere

poos_n_wees you just made my week. I'm about to do a month of crossfit in Newmarket and have been whinging about no cf in south auckland for months now. But I see it's there now :D yay! and so much cheaper than everywhere else.

Also people, Rich Froning Jr has a hot hot body. :pfft:

I love crossfit, and get bored with traditional weight training. So I'm excited about starting it.

(also, hi, long time lurker first time poster).
