Cruden is good. Actually, Cruden is really good. He's young and has a lot to learn and won't always make the best decisions, but Carter isn't perfect either. Grover is right as well, 15 man game. Yeah, it's a big loss, but if the All Blacks are the best TEAM in Rugby, then there shouldn't be a problem winning the cup.

Slade/Piri will be fine. Its a pretty good squad

playing 1st division rugby is a bit different than a RWC knock-out semi final against the Defending champions SA. Well from my experiance anyway... :^o

Coach Graham Henry told a press conference at the team hotel that the 29-year-old record points scorer seriously injured the tendon in his left groin during kicking practice at the captain's run training session on Saturday.

shoulda changed their gay fucken rules and Nick Evans would have been included in the squad and would have been perfect for this exact scenario.

Not necessarily bro, they thought they had a good replacement when Luke McAllister came back... and he was nowhere near as good as when he left.

Anyway selection discussions aside, whoever replaces Carter, lets get behind them. It'll be hard enough replacing (arguably) the best 1st five in the world without the country hating you for not being on that level :huh:

15 MEN in a team any team that relies on one player has serious issuses and needs to take a long hard look at themselves

You mean like the Broncos without Lockyer, Cowboys without Thurston, Aussies without Cooper or Genia, I could go on but pretty sure my points made. You lose your key play maker you severely hurt your team, not only his play making and leadership but the mental aspect it will have on the rest of the team is huge.

Anyone saying Cruden is shit must be the same people saying SBW is shit. He was the inform no10 in the NPC and one of the best at the end of the Super 15, was surprised he didnt get picked for the world cup squad in the first place. No doubt when carter leaves he will be our best option and he still has a lot of time to develop being very young.

I'm with Grover on this... if any one player, no matter if it's the Captain, the star play-maker, the media magnet, or one of the young up-and-comers, is injured, the extent to which it affects the rest of the team is up to them...

Not saying that this isn't a great loss - but it's just another test, like a dodgy draw (or the PI teams only getting three days between games, unlike the big-name teams).

If the rest of the squad decides as one to unite, lift their game and go hard for the remaining matches, that's their choice.

But if a couple of players decide "That's it, we're f@cked" and give up, that's the tournament right there.

Not to worry its the All Blacks, We have the most talented pool of players in the world to choose from and while Dan has exceptional ball skills he is only one man in a 15 man game. We got this. Would love to see a NZ vs Ireland final

Im backing a Ireland NZ final. that would be fucken epic

Carter is the man but hasnt been at his best the past few months.

Piri is steping up

Slade is gaining confidince in running

Piri can kick

Dagg is peaking at the right time

we have an unreal supply of world class backs to give us those line breaks

Cruden has been unreal this season in super rugby.

SBW I doubted but has shown he can run

not to mention all the senior players that are 100% trustworthy...

Nonu, Smith, Mills

I believe Cruden will be that player that creates havok and becomes a dark horse and fcuks shit up 8)
