Tuna & Oat Cakes

Just whipped a batch of these up for lunch, surprisingly tasty.

185g tin of tuna (in water or brine)

1 cup Rolled Oats

Salt, Pepper, Chilli Powder etc to taste

Mix it all together, don't drain the tuna, allow the oats to soak up the water/brine. Let it sit in the bowl for a few minutes so the oats are nice and soft. Roll into balls then squish flat into patties, cook in frypan on medium heat.

Before the squishing stage, I rolled them in a bit of wholemeal flour and some spices this time, it seemed to help the cooking process. Next time, I'm gonna try baking them instead, see what happens.

They're great hot, especially if your diet allows you to dip them in some chilli or BBQ sauce. Haven't tried them as a cold lunch yet, but will in the future. Either way, I think it makes for a pretty effective post workout feed
