Just read that another one of the boys had a belt blow out this time on a dead?

Isn't that one of several times its been reported from lifters here Surely they must need to be told to sort there shit out?

yeah they are so unreliable man, 4 have busted at our gym, the metal just snaps in half under the pressure. when i have the money, probably burn it and get a good brand from the states. i believe there is footage of at least 2 of these incidences

i think inzer is about to get a CBC mass bomb order of FOREVER LEVER BELTS!

Personally, the only Outback belt I've used (one of the House ones) has served me well when I've borrowed it - all through Smolov too. But that's my only Outback-brand experience so hardly an experienced opinion...

Today I just took order of a Toro (Titan) Power belt - heavy, heavy, thick, really well-constructed looking belt. Can't wait to give her a spin! \:D/ Will be thrown right into the deep end with 5x5 @ 190 tomorrow night 8)

these puppies are dropping like flies...have spoken with our contact and they will replace any recent purchases as there was a "bad batch" of buckles.

I accept this sort of thing happens from time to time but it seems we are having a bad run although thankfully no-one has been been injured. We w3ill be doing an Inzer order for a few members as I have found the forever belt to be the best I have used.

With the Inzer belts. What's better buckel or lever? And is there a good place to get them in NZ or do you have to get them online?

Online. I've heard levers aren't very nice cause they can pinch but haveing not actually used one, I can't say if that is true

Cheers mate - I can imagine that using the levers you'd get pinched. Anyone got any experience using levered belts?

Personally never liked lever belts and found most 'squat' belts too hard for much else. I had one from elitefts (max thickness for ipf) and rolled it up & ran it over a few times just to soften it a bit. Didnt seem to 'fit' well and moved on Deads etc. Was great for squatting tho.

I swapped from outback and prong belts in general to the10mm Inzer Forever Lever belt. Love it.

No pinching and cant imagine how that would happen, easy to adjust (not that Ive had too, great fit, no shitty rivets or weak areas to worry about cos like Nate I too have split the leather at the buckle and cost wise it was about $80NZ plus postage(postage was pretty pricey from the states but I did get a box of stuff)

I ike how its quick and easy to get on and off...no more pulling the belt up on a post to get the prongs in a hole and with a simple flip it unlocks and your free of it. Good quality fitting and leather too. - a simple choice if you wanted to get away from the prong type belts. I believe the Inzer and Toro prong belts are pretty good quality too.

I have a Outback belt, relatively new, about 6 months old but it's working great and had no problem so far.

And the majority of the communal belts at our gym are Outback and Coach has had one of them for something like 20 years and it's still standing strong.

Guess it must have just been a bad batch somewhere along the line..

  • 4 weeks later...

My Outbak belt popped a stitch the other week and then it popped two more today while down in the hole squatting

All I heard was a rip and then down in front of me on the floor is two stitches from the belt. I am now getting scared of the belt! I have tried looking up Outbak so I can write to them directly but can't find any information on the net.

I'm gonna try and take it back to Gymeez tomorrow and see what they say, but inzer forever belts are looking mighty fine from here!

Does anybody have any contact details for Outbak?

ooooooooooookay... my Outbak's been holding up just fine, amazing difference over the (non-compliant 'cos too wide at the back anyway) belt I had been using.

Steak, did that CBC order go yet ?

yeah mate...should be a big box ofgoodies coming through this week. Will let you know when i do another order...prolly in early November

Love my outback belt, squated 350, deaded 350 numerous times, never missed a beat.

only wear it for heaviest set. About 2 sets per workout. Bench still sucks

strong lifts bro...awesome  I thinks its just a bad batch of Outbaks...buckles mostly. They are getting onto it so Im told. If anyone wants one just sing out.

anyone know where i can get a really small belt from.. im having shit all luck trying to find one small enough.. mens belts dont make enough holes to go smaller for me..

Whats you waist size Jenna. Some of our girls are wearing Inzer and Outback belts and they are only small 50-57kg lasses. let me know and I'll suss out the best size for you :D
