Lean bulk or bulk/cut

Recommended Posts

what do you prefer?? I have tried both but am yet undecided as to what i prefer. At this stage probably a lean bulk but not too lean as I want to feel strong and have enough calories to grow etc if you know what i mean. some guys like to get real big (fat) and then shred it off 12-20 weeks off and still manage to come in shredded.

TLAF: If I know I'm getting back up on stage with 6-12 months I stay at around 10% BF. Makes it nice and easy to drop down and I have found my condition is a shit load better for it. Other up side is keeping more carbs in and being a to function as a normal human :pfft: At the moment because I'm not getting back on stage till 2013 I'm adjusting things to see how I can maintain without worrying.

Crazy: I do much of the same as when dieting except my portion sizes are slightly bigger and I make sure to have at least one full day a week of eating and drinking whatever I want. Plus I don't turn down shit food (lollies/choc) on the odd occasions I'm offered it (don't have a sweet tooth due to growing up in a dairy). If at any stage it seems like my BF is increasing to much I cut back on the extras a little bit and throw in some morning walks.

It's all moderation and understanding how your body reacts to certain foods. Also I'm a big believer in having a life and not letting the sport control it.

Well you can't bulk and cut naturally at the same time so even if you "lean bulk" you will still have to cut to some extent. I think the question you are asking is how much fat do people usually put on in the "off season" the answer to which I believe ~12-15% would be optimal for a natural guy.

BBQ, mayo ect by sauces I'm basically saying cut the added extras out.

Depends what it is if it's Thai or something no worries but a BK Dbl whopper will vacate the building pretty quick. So I try and keep it all down with copious amounts of booze.
