K I have no idea where I should post this but I have no spleen = a fucked immune system and I'm so tired of getting sick for no reason - do any of you know if there are any 'super' foods that can help my immunity? All the doctors wanna do is put me on a daily does of penicillin - for good.

I'd rather not do this obviously, but its starting to get in the way of stuff again! Last winter I had a low-grade virus for 6 weeks which was hell, so fat this season I've had the flu (badly) tonisilitis (with no tonsils!!!) and now am under the weather again. Any ideas are welcome!!!

Superfood - Garlic or Garlic supplement. Do some googling on the benefits. It has a natural antibiotic that the pharma companies don't want you to know. I have been using for 5 years without getting sick (except this year) so it's not perfect but it helps. It also shortens the duration your sick.

Hope this helps

Take a double dose of a multi vitamin/mineral and try a zinc supplement. Zinc is meant to help support the immune system.

This is from the blackmores website, but you could try any form of zinc..

Helping you to maintain skin health, immunity and healthy sperm

Blackmores Bio Zinc is a combination of zinc and other nutrients that may assist in the management of skin disorders such as acne. Zinc also helps to maintain healthy immune function.

Zinc is essential to good health as it is found in every cell of the body and is involved in many enzymatic reactions. Adequate levels of zinc are critical for the proper functioning of the immune system. It is important in wound healing, in the maintenance of the senses (vision, taste and smell) and healthy skin. Low zinc levels can therefore increase susceptibility to infection and can lead to poor wound healing, decreased sense of taste and smell, and skin disorders. Zinc also plays an essential role in male reproductive health and in the production of healthy sperm.

Vitamin A plays an essential role in the healthy function and repair of the skin, as well as being important to the immune system. Vitamin B6 helps to increase the concentrations of both zinc and magnesium in the cells
