York heart rate monitor

Know a few people that used to use them cycling and swore by them, not sure how useful it would be for body building but im sure it could be handy to have. Buying any of the heart rate monitors make sure it has the chest strap, as the plain wrist ones are generally crap and very inaccurate. Looks like a good deal.

go for a Polar

$119 for the basic FT1 model

got a chest strap with it

does HR zones too that u can proggrame in, average HR over the session etc

i use mine when i do interval training. or to see what my HR is when doing squats! \:D/

At $50 it could be worth a crack. It's likely a very basic model, but it could help you hit the heart rate ranges for high intensity interval cardio.

York's likely to buy the watch in from somewhere, but their gear is generally reliable and fair value for money.

As long as you don't expect it to last forever, it should be fine - in the long run, brands like Polar, Suunto, or Garmin are a better bet for features, accuracy and reliability.
