I disagree, paying through the nose for a personal trainer does not guarantee you would get better results. Being a personal trainer trainee myself I see a lot of trainers over charging. Awoken, I'm guessing you currently take protein powder? And have you thought of taking up powerlifting or using that form of lifting as part of a strength training plan?

Have you asked at your gym who a good trainer might be for you? Cityfitness charge $49-73 p/h depending on level of trainer(1-4).

platnuim sport is a newly opened gym in riccarton and I noticed they're doing $40 personal training sessions, including body compostion and goal setting, the flyer looks good to me but am waiting untill next month. They have a contact number 0273840314

Don't hold your breath on this one. This gym is owned by NZIS(which as a sports industry education facility is excellent), and if it's anything like their pathetic city gym(very poor attendance, low quality equip, unprofressional trainers, dead atmosphere) I'd stay away from the place. While $40 for PT sessions sounds bloody great, it would be priced at that for a reason. Who knows, I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
