food preparation

looking for preparation ideas for chicken breast and rice; fish and boiled potatoes; and eggs and potatoes.

im wondering if anyone here prepares their food in any special way? i usually season my chicken with herbs and spices, and satay it in BBQ sauce. the sauce is relatively low in sugar, moderate in sodium (at least for the serving to portion ratio i use) and contains no fat.

as far as everything else goes, e.g, the rice, eggs, fish and potatoes - its very bland. i dont complain, as i ate that way for a long time until i made a decision to (somewhat) enjoy the food i eat.

Rice, I usually prepare with a little bit of chopped garlic in it to give it a bit of flavour.

Fish - usually only eat salmon, but wrap it in tin foil with a little lemon juice and dill and bake. If I'm low carb and trying to make my meal a little 'different' for boredom sake, I add a little mustard, mix it up and then make little lettuce parcel kind of things.

Egg whites - I hate eggs, so have a few ways to try and disguise what I'm eating... usually some sort of scrambled egg or frittata type dish with veges/rice and spices in it. If it's a meal I can't prepare just before I eat, I usually go for boiled, separate off the yolk and throw it down...
