has anyone every purchased shoes from http://www.ostyler.co.nz?

i bought some running shoes over the weekend but i never received any sort of confirmation email of the order. i emailed these guys but i have yet to receive anything or hear from them. not worried as of yet, as its a bit too soon to tell, but just interested to see if anyone has delt with this business.

p.s - i found this company through their advertisement on facebook.

this website is advertised on facebook. its been advertising for weeks now, so theres no way facebook couldnt have gotten scam complaints, right?

It means it claims its located in China by a chinese guy, but registered in India, With no actual real physical address (i googled the addy and xinhua industrial park is a rather large region with no real specific address within thqt region. That alone is very suspicious, considering it has a .co.nz i presume??

Sorry i'll elaborate. Basicaly this store is not based in new zealand. Chances are the shoes they sell are real good copies of brand names. The owner of the domain lives in Mumbai India. Hence thats way there are no physical adress or phone nr on the site. I mean just the prices alone on the site should have made you run a mile. Always remember. if something is too good to be true it usually is. As for the facebook page they advertising it can be replaced once they get find out with no real way of getting caught. From where im sitting everything they have put down as details could be fake. And remember that it doesnt mean they on facebook they are legit. Facebook is a sesspool for scammers. Hope this clears up some confusion

Most international web hosting providers are now giving the option to registar a .co.nz domain without you having to be in NZ. .co.nz has become quite well reputable in the world therefor its getting more available to other countries. There was a time you could only register .co.nz in NZ or Aus but not anymore. I myself have got a .co.nz domain registered with an US web host. I use them because their pricing is real cheap compared to NZ and get far more for my money than as i would do locally. nd the support is good too. ( sorry, went off topic)

Would be very cautious, contact email is a hotmail address. China/India registered, but a .co.nz website? Zero-little difference in price between shoes of the same brand? (from the quick skim I had) Alarm bells are ringing :shock: And did anyone else notice that the contact city is Texas? :pfft:

As for FB advertising, I doubt they vet who advertises with them, but you can report advertisements I believe (report scam I think). Being advertised on Facebook certainly doesn't make a store legit.

Site does look semi-legit - possibly copied from another site? But I wouldn't be at all surprised if it fooled people (assuming it is a scam, which it certainly looks to be).

I'd probably take the hit as a lesson learned and warn as many people as you can :nod: Scambusters website?
