Why do we want to look this way?

Some interesting views from the male perspective there. It's funny how alot of you say females are attracted to the provider type, the muscly guys who look like they can hunt etc.

I never appreciated muscle or muscly guys until I started lifting myself, in fact I have always like the thin geek types :pfft: as logically (in my mind) the more intelligent guy would be able to provide in this day and age- not that having muscles doesn't make you intelligent :shifty:

Since I have started lifting I have realised how much effort and disipline is put in to be strong and my views of muscly guys and girls have certainly changed.

I just do it to be strong it is just a by-product as somebody else was saying that I end up being reasonably healthy and muscular, I'd rather lift weights than do any other sort of exercise regime any day of the week! I just love it!

I love the word 'geek' as a stereotype doesn't really fit in this day and age. you'd be surprised how many people at the House alone have IT jobs and are considered 'geeks' in their own regards therefore it's probably just the thin look that you are more attracted to perhaps  But I see where your coming from and please don't take this as an attack at all just like what you have brought forward and also Peachy for that matter.

personally I do because it makes me feel good and gives me self confidence that perhaps wasn't there when I was younger. Take this year started off pre PL skinny as @88kgs then slowly worked my way to my current 105kgs and seemed the heavier I got the more attention I had when going out on the town which was nice and then eventually found my other half  Not saying that Females are Vein at all but it's not just guys that go for the figured look as it seems to be perceived in most circles I tend to roll with anyways.

But this isn't a discussion about our sexual preferences then is MT?

Totally, geek thin type is a typical stereo type and ooooh so not true! Just saying I guess not all girls like big muscly men as you might think! Husband is a little peeved that I can pick him up and carry him places though :pfft: no seriously I can!!!!
