Serious Fat Reduce and Tone Up

First of all, if you "tone up" then you are reducing fat by building lean muscle mass.Secondly, it depends on your genetics....

For myself, it is far easier to bulk up and gain muscle mass (any types really) than to reduce fat.However, I do run anywhere from 2 miles to 10 miles a day... This helps me reduce my fat and HOPEFULLY boost my metabolism and other things.

If you want fat loss, do hill sprints. You will send your metabolism sky-rocketing all day.

Far more fun than the treadmill and sprinting goes hand in hand with weight training in stimulating an anabolic, fat burning environment in the body. Unlike long duration, low intensity cardio that is actually detrimental to resistance training.

At least give it a go :), I was nearly on the floor in laughter the first time I started sprinting.

Nice start - are you doing weights before cardio ? If not, consider swapping them.

You'll be able to lift with better form, for longer, than if you're already fatigued from cardio. That will show up in better muscle tone and definition.

This definately. Well done on taking the plunge Mel. Onwards and upwards. Put your mind to it and you can achieve anything you want.
