Umm both?? lol.

For the next few weeks its purely strength for me, but playing sport again after a long break has made me realise the importance of balance. So soon its going to change to increasing fitness/speed, decreasing fat, maintaining strength, improving looks

I think that unless you are/plan to be a competitive powerlifter/strongman you should focus on more than strength alone.

Are you a bit board mate and want to create a bit of a scrap \:D/ \:D/ :pfft:

lol, nah was just really interested to see what the general conception out there was.

Beach 4 life! Looking good for me.... That means I'm winning 23 hours of the day... If u just strong then u only the man for 1 hour of the day in ur gym...

that is a interesting way of putting it.

Not sure why I'm in that list - I just run a website!

But I agree with Tom (well, his first post!) so my vote goes to beach. Maybe with a few bodyweight strength exercises that you can pull out as a party trick. :D

From March to November I care more about strength, November to February I care more about the beach  I place more importance at the moment on strength because I feel I'm more lacking there, whereas I've never been at a point that I'd feel uncomfortable at the beach and really felt the need to specifically work at it.

But I am a bodybuilder so if I had to pick I'd rather look like I can bench 200kg than actually bench 200kg if you know what I mean.

That's exactly what I say. Looking like you can lift the weight as opposed to lifting the weight. That's why Stan Efferding is a shit bodybuilder. (not trying to start anything with the guys who actually like him)

That has to be the worst possible example to support an argument. I'm not an Efferding cheerleader but...

Don't you mean that Efferding is an average pro bodybuilder? He is a very good bodybuilder and that's why he is a pro. You don't get your pro card in those parts unless you are a very good bodybuilder.

I like Stan more than most because of his diverse ability and the fact that whilst he isn't the most competitively succesful guy he is still a success. Loads of genetically better bodybuilders who live in their cars! lol
