The Best Bodybuilding Photo Ever?!

How he (Levrone) didn't win the Olympia is beyond me.

I have said this so many times I've lost count. Levrone IMHO is the best Bodybuilder to have never won the Sandow trophy. A recent online survey I saw (and I cant find anywhere!! BBing.com or MD maybe?) rated this as I suggested.

That said there is one picture that I find so good that I don't believe anyone could beat this guy if he was on stage looking like this.

Maybe he never quite nailed the timing when it counted at the Olympia. The man is of course Ken "Flex" Wheeler, and this the picture. Simply brilliant IMHO

Your thoughts?

Are there pictures that epitomise Bodybuilding in YOUR eyes (I recognise we all have different perceptions of what is "The Best").

There was a string of long term O winners like Dorian and Ronnie which excluded alot of great guys from winning their O

flex has and always will be my fav of all time, the one show i thought that was really close between him and ronnie in the 1999 oympia i thought flex would of taken it he was lookin in better shape, and perfect proportion but ahwell would of been hard decision

Like Flex's photo, I often find the best ones are where they're mid-pose or relaxed..those tend to show their awesome size and proportions. There's one of Dorian that I'll hunt out

One of best bodybuilding photos that I have seen plus that photo of Heath and wheeler would be right up there with any Classic Arnold photo

Yeah, there are other iconic photos (Arnie's "archer" pose comes to mind), but I agree this the most perfect bodybuilding image I've ever seen. It's not just Flex's symmetry and proportions - it's also beautifully lit and shot. Put those two elements together, and it's stunning.

^^ all photos other than this were photoshoots. The Yates one was taken as he was preppingfor Olympia for his own progress check, hence wearing his socks still!!!

That would be another classic photo that comes to mind of the Dorian which would be my third all time fave bodybuilder followed by lee Haney 2 and Arnold being 1#
