Testosterone and organ size

Recommended Posts

im still eating about 500g of carbs most days. im losing BF without any cardio - its all completely dependent on your metabolism.

Thats incredible! Im guessing your still quite heavy though? Metabolism/training intensity aside

not that heavy. i was working on my house doing renovations over the weekend; i ate 400g carbs on saturday and i was starving; i then ate about 500g on sunday and it wasnt so bad. keep in mind this is also very mild work.

Just talked to another competitor today in the gym.

He's about 5'8 and 88kg eating 4,000 calories and dropping the right amount of fat each week. He has an outstanding nutritionist, Mrs Rainbow who I have never met or knew of hope he or she doesn't mind me saying tghis on public forum.

I was surprised cause I'm 20kg+ LBM on him and on just under 3,000 calories a day. Tomorrow I read my new diet and have been told I'll be adding carbs to it :-) so...we're not all dieting down

you gotta keep in mind that your skeletal muscles do not require many calories for daily function; your organs on the otherhand require a lot. you have to also keep in mind that a male with greater testosterone will have larger organs.

What?

testosterone is responsible larger larger organs, you didnt know that? take the brain for example, it is the reason why man has a much larger brain in comparison to woman. its no coincidence that guys with high testosterone have broad shoulders - they need to accommodate larger organs.

i love owning you, tom.

its a shame i couldnt quote you, but you said something along the lines of "complete bullshit, whats next?"

have you ever heard of a thing called sexual differentiation?

AAS can make your heart grow larger over time but I don't know about the other organs. Never heard that.

im referring to the maturity of the organs until end of puberty, not environmental stimuli.

ah ok in that case yep.. sexual differentiation true. I think gh levels probably play a bigger role in the larger organs in males tho also the other (non sexual) body structures. dunno tho.

Stimulates the growth of all internal organs excluding the brain

growth hormone, whos pivotal hormone is estrogen, is responsible for the growth of tissue. higher levels of growth hormone will result in a much taller person, and therefore larger proportionate organs; however, this isnt the point at question; the point at question is: the maturation of larger organs is affected by the hormone testosterone.
