And know your anatomy, the upper clavicular head of the pectoralis major's fibres run different to the lower sternocostal head.

And the pec minor is not visible.

Also, keep your arms low during flyes as to eliminate work done by the Coracobrachialis.

The Coracobrachialis is the smallest of the three muscles that attach to the coracoid process of the scapula. (The other two muscles are pectoralis minor and biceps brachii.) It is situated at the upper and medial part of the arm. You can find it in your armpit, feels like a swollen lymphnode.

FFS. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Why would that be??

possibly because he doesnt know his coracobrachialis from his upper clavicular head but still out benches you by a mile any day of the week.. nah jokes bro seriously you deserve a gold star sticker for your strong knowledge of the coracoid process of the scapula

Haha thanks, was a bit much perhaps :D:D

Last time I checked he had a 190 Raw bench at 105kg's body weight, which gives 1.80 times body weight by my count.

I put up 158kg's Raw bench last night at 87.6kg's which gives me slightly less at the third decimal place (1.8036-me to 1.8095-Dr Squat)

So I'm right on his arse

That's one way to look at it. The real way says he benches 32Kgs more than you.

Thats true, wilks points and bench numbers are always an interesting topic and debate :D Its like how to decide which bench is better, Scott Mendelsons 312kg bench at 164kg's compared to Jeremy Hornstra's 300kg bench at 110 kg's.

But then again I suppose it does come down to overall weight lifted...

always interesting

It's not a dick measuring contest bro. There are two other lifts also.

And remember this is a bodybuilding thread and the real conversation here is about building a quality chest.

HA!!

Nothing wrong with a good old fashioned dick measuring contest to bury the hatchet.

Seriously though, what was wrong with my post? I took references from my material and study at AUT, and references from Charles Poliquin and my research from working in physio?

Nothing wrong with your post at all bro. It just went way over my head. I'm a fairly simple bastard.

Tell me more about your study?

Oh okay sorry, I thought you disagreed with my findings.

I have worked as a physiotherapy assistant for Septuagenarians and

Octogenarians doing preventative therapy for these groups (70-79, 80-89 years of age) which is stopping them getting any worse, and helping them retain every day tasks, and I have completed study through AUT in Auckland for a Certificate in PT and Diploma in fitness instruction which was great. I have done other short courses as well, including workshops, and have done study through New Zealand College of Sport... a tad stink.

And I am trying to save to travel to Aus to do Charles Poliquins courses... AMAZING... The man even hates banana's before training, reckons they increase seratonin :D

Good stuff. My only advice would be to keep it real. The best strength and conditioning coaches IMO are the ones who have a good balance between theory and practice.

I dont doubt factually your correct i question how relevant your post was to the op. i may well be wrong but if you asked the guys on here with decent chests how they got them would they answer having a strong knowledge of the upper clavicular head of the pectoralis majors fibres running different to the lower sternocostal head? i doubt it but all good bro if your all about showing off how brainy you are or if you can bench 1.834693 your bw. nothing wrong with a dick measuring contest right?

btw doc 105kg??? was that when he was 12 or after a summer cut? :pfft:

Nah, most of that stuffs not important at all, or anything to remember as its not that usefu in practise, but I thought that he would pick bits out that 'stuck out' like the upper and lower chest.

I neglected my upper chest for a long time till I met someone who could rest his chin on his upper chest.

Just want him to aim for a fully developed chest.

I'm not brainy at all btw, that info is just a bit of basic anatomy, you'll retain it from reading journals on insertion points and such if you find it interesting as with anything, didnt mean to look like a dick :D
