pissed at hop

went to use my hop bus card today scanner said please pay driver yesterday when i used it i had 4 more rides of the 10 i loaded on it never had this problem with old cards :evil: pissed any of u guys have problems with new cards

That sucks RB. I've never used the cards, but you should give their call centre a call to sort it out.

The newspaper had an article on people getting charged twice. This is probably what happened to you. Some of those 6 rides you have already had have been doubled,

OR

you failed to swipe off. If you don't swipe as you get off, you get charged all teh stages the bus travels since swiping on.

Anyway. I had a similar problem. I had heaps of trips left, swiped on one morning and got "Please pay the driver". This was in week 2 of the new system so the driver just let me on.

Later that night I went on line and checked what my account was showing. Some how the system thought that I got on the bus in Manukau, and rode all the way to the city, when in reality I got on in the city and went to my home (not anywhere near Manukau).

Complained via their call centre and it got fixed quick smart.

Could be worth going on line and checking what the system says you've done so you know what you're complaining about
