Tony Harris...WR squat M1@120class, awesome! Looked like SP injured himself on his attempt at 380kg. Big Brad cruising along and popped up 370kg but is saving himself for a WR attempt @ 400kg. I missed the benching though.

Interesting to see NZers lifting at the Australian nationals. I wonder if they will be lifting at the NZPF Nationals next week?

Simon, Steve and Sonia are down to lift at nationals next week... I think.

I think all except Sonia.

Some phenomenal lifting. The concept of guest lifters at a Nationals really added something to the sport IMHO. Maybe worth mentioning this in the other Debate thread - Powerlifting Australia did good with this concept!

these WR lifts are in the new weight classes as the old ones got wiped, correct?

if thats correct then how far off the original WRs are these ones, or are the weight classes much different so you cant really compare?

The weight classes are quite different bro. So pretty difficult to compare. Still come very impressive numbers. Powerlifting Australia were seizing upon an opportunity to host a contest where world records could be broken. World records cannot usually be broken at National championships.
