Accutane sides..

At about 2.5months in on 60mg a day. Got normal sides like dry skin lips etc. Acne just about gone.. In the last week got bloodshot eyes. Tried eye drops but nothing seems to reduce redness. Anyone else get this and found a fix? Sick of people asking if im stoned. Not a very professional look

No not really. Pretty dried up since being on it. I did before i started though. Had mild acne, nothing bad really but now 23 and sick of it so decided to do something about it

Are you still on it? It does dry your eyes too, and 60mg a day is heaps, sides were harsh for me on that much! Nothing much else you can do other than drops or lower the dosage

Yeah im still on it. Your not the first to tell me that its a high dose actually. Even the phamacy lady said it was pretty high... Doc said it goes by body weight though..? Im 97kgs

Maybe i should lower to 40mg a day. Eye drops seem to do nothing. Tried a few brands. And tried clear eyes which apartently is a stoners best friend. No go

I was @ 40mg at one stage and that was still lots....I am on 20 right now

most common sides is the dry skin/eyes/lips and the random nose bleeds

i'd stay on the high dose if i was you, apparently it lowers your chance of relapse.

So before you went on it you had oily skin and now its stopped being oily?

Anyone know if it permanently stops the oiliness when you come off accutane?

Yeah id say i had oily skin before i went on. Acne wasnt bad but to control oil i washed face morning and night. Seems dry as now.. Doc reckons oil will come back a little but not as extreme. Lowered to 40mg a day as acne has gone. Will see what doc says about that on thursday.

My sides have been Dry skin, dry/cracked/bleeding lips, nose bleeds/cuts that dont heal in nose, dry and bloodshot eyes, random rashes and back pumps that just about stopped me walking.

None of the sides bothered me apart from bloodshot eyes. The one thing that you cant hide easily

wrong, high doses increase chances of relapse. better to have a lower dose and be on the stuff for a longer period of time, i used it for almost a year, low dose, increasing to slightly higher then dropping again, am now using the cream style of it twice a week. been a long process but almost finished
