you shouldnt make up bullshit lies in order to try benefit you own product sales... someone always knows better and you just look like a untrustworthy idiot.

Tru dat! That container statement coming from a person that sells protein for a living doesn't inspire confidence.

No I was referring to whey protein, not chicken, always keen on a good discussion without resorting to name calling

True  "Whey can be denatured by heat. High heat (such as the sustained high temperatures above 72 °C associated with the pasteurization process) denatures whey proteins." @ wiki. But a study conducted shows the highest temp reached in a container (out of multiple studies and multiple routes) is around 57c (this is a detailed study)

I've ordered from BB.com before, and even ordered some LG Sciences stuff which I found out later was on the banned list and it got through no problem. It came by courier and I don't even think it went thru "normal" customs - just the courier customs people who really arent customs people at all and don't give a f*ck.

But why contact customs at all to ask questions? f*ck them - dont give them a clue. They remind me of men in white coats with a clip-board. Total fuckwits - the best thing customes can do is f*ck off and catch the real crims rather than worrying about a bit of protein powder.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread.

Found the thread via Google search.

I currently have a BB order being held in customs to the value of $310NZD including shipping, they want approx. $180 is charges to release it.

Problem is, I can find NO info on supplements being subject to import fees on either MAF or Customs website.

What pisses me off even more is this is my 6th order and the least expensive and all others have got through fine.

All I ordered was 10lb ON protein, Ripped Freak and No Explode 2.

Any advice on what I can do? when I can get through tomorrow I have going to be disputing the charges but I'm not really sure how this works, considering I;ve done it all before with NO issues.

Cheers

Josh

Send me a PM with all the following details;

Cost and currency

description of goods

freight: How much you paid.

Also what courier company used?

Also are these charges being requested by NZ Customs or the freight forwarder being utilised.

Its possible that because there are some Customs charges payable that the local courier company is charging you for their services and paperwork for getting the goods cleared.

Sorry can't PM, must be too new.

Cost in total was $172.96 + $76.60 (in US dollars)

So was roughly $310 NZ at the time

1 x 10lb ON protein

1 x 60caps Ripped freak

1 x No Explode 2

1 x Green Tea caps

couple of random free samples

1 x free tshirt

Shipping company is DHL

When i rung DHL about it today (they sent an E-TXT saying to ring them) they lady gave me a rundown of the fees but I was pretty pissed so didnt take much notice and said I was disputing it, she then said I need to give customs a call (which I will do tomorrow) and gave me a ref# to quote.

Something about an inspection fee was $40ish and GST was $120something from what I recall that she said.

Pretty pissed, my last BB order was $100 more and got here with no hassles! :(
