How do I get started body building?

Im a young guy from Wellington that has been going to the gym now for 2-3 years. I'm on the slim side 65kgs....175cm tall. I go gym 3 times a week. Not sure what I'm doing. I really wanna be 70kgs and get some abs.

How do I become a bodybuilder and sign up for my first competition?

Are there any other guys that could give me some pointers or take me through a session or 2. I am a gym member at Les Mills and Club Kelburn.

What are minimum requirements to compete?

I have no idea what to eat either total newbee.

Well you've made a good start joining this site - there are some great forums out there to read through and you will pick up some handy tips. What about speaking to the trainers at your gym?

1. don't share your cellphone number in public

2. read the nutrition section (some people have excellent posts, while others ...well not so excellent)

3. go through some of the logs (not mine lol) and see what they do

If you have been going to the gym that long and still don't know what you're doing, you need to seek help. Perhaps you have been doing all cardio work and classes?
