Circuit Training, yay or nay

Hey guys...

I am on my usual weight loss mission and have been going to the gym about 3 - 4 times a week.. I usually start off doing 10 mins HIIT on the treadmill then another 10 mins at a fast walk uphill, then do a few circuits... different machines targetting different muscles, also some cardio machines thrown in.

Also do one boxing class per week.

Is this an effective way for toning up fast and losing fat? ( I am female btw)

ideas welcome :)

eat less calories than you burn is the key

id do your warm up exercise on the tradmill or spin bike or rower for 5 or so mins. then get onto ur circuits. then a cool down and stretching at the end too

you could do those mon-wed-fri. then on tues and thurs do your HIIT

do it on the rower or treadmill running for best use of calories

Aim for the big muscle group compound exercises that burn a load of calories. also means less time working out which is better

ie 45mins or so including warm up and cool down

get in, get out, done!

good luck

:ditto: what Mike said !

Oh, but swap the order of things: warm up briefly, do your weights circuit, THEN do your intervals. Your muscles will be fresher and will respond to the weight training better, and the impact of the HIIT cardio after weights will be used better too.

Or burn more than you consume.

Spreading meals out so you get the same calories, spread through smaller meals is another great strategy. Balanced blood sugar levels. No crash and crave issues.
