On a serious note i dont think our earth could be the only life in the universe. We are just an insignificant spec in the huge scale of it.

Uhhh, who says that the universe is infinite? Even if it was, it only makes the fact that other life simply exists probable not definite. Not to mention the almost astronomical difference between single-cellular life and again in multi-cellular life and then "intelligent" life. Even if the universe was infinite and other intelligent life existed in it, it would be most likely, by definition an infinite distance away from us.
