ANB Asia Pacific International Champs

The ANB (Australasian Natural Bodybuilding) Asia Pacific Champs were held over 2 days on the 12th/13th June on the Gold Coast, Australia.

The event attracted over 200 athletes and New Zealand were represented by a team of 27 athletes, producing some terrific results in some huge line-ups.

The competitors at this event were being drug-tested by ASADA (Australian Sports Anti Doping Agency).

The team and the results are:

Junior Men - 3rd John Pyers

Men's u/70kg - 3rd Kyl Jan

Women's u'52kg physique - 3rd Sheryl Schenkel, 2nd Suzie Patrick

Women's Short Figure - 5th Teneka Hyndman

Women's Masters Physique - 1st Jan Dixon

Novice Figure - 3rd Claire Torr, unplaced Nikki TeWano, Kelly Webber, Lyn Wright, Jolene Morris

Women's Tall Figure - 5th Karen Montague, 4th Kym Carter, 3rd Michelle Dixon

Women's Figure o/50years - 2nd Moira Hughes, 1st Gladys Matthews

Novice Men - 4th Lance TeKiri

Women's Figure o/45years - 5th Anne Jameson, 1st Ali Gascoine, unplaced Christine Chinn, Lauren McLellan, Judy Duggan

Women's Physique o/52kg - 4th Tracey Frost

Women's Figure o/35years - unplaced Cathy Orevich, Jacque Pedersen

Men's Masters o/50years - 4th Grant McLellan

Fitness Model - Belinda McCartney - result unavailable at this time

Congratulations to the whole team on another fantastic effort, enjoy a few days off now!

Many of us got stranded on the Gold Coast due to the volcanic ash, but hopefully you are all back safe and well now, or enjoying a bit of a holiday on the Gold Coast before you return.
