Excellent day at CBC yesterday.

I got to watch the biggest squat I have seen and got to meet some great people from the Power Lifting family.

So good to see so many like minded people getting together and giving everything they have to reach their goals.

Let do that again!!!! \:D/

Was an absolute pleasure travelling up for this comp Steak. Seeing the progress you and Mrs Steak have made from the humble beinnings that set this whole vision in motion is starting to reap the rewards that you both deserve and to think CBC isnt even two years old yet!!

Was a great day and I had a blast. Catching up with so many old (and now heaps of new) friends is always something I cherish about this sport I love so much! Not only that, but we smashed a truckload of tin and the post comp feed, the food....OMG...the food....and that cheesecake....

Thank you so much DC and Mrs Steak, the sport of powerlifting in NZ is blessed to have the likes of yourselves in the mix. See you all soon at the NI's.

God Bless and stay the strongest!

Ditto to the above posts.. Massive kudos to Damo and Rach. What a fantastic comp! Bit daunting at first, but everyone was so friendly and supportive, its hard not to get into the spirit of things

Was great to finally meet alot of our forum members.. You guys are awesome. Lots of big lifts and minties moments hehe. Can't wait for the next one.. Will definitely bring my family and friends along to get inspired as I was

VP - Thank you for the encouragement and support. I vaguely remember whispering to you on the bench "Hey, can I lift it now?" Hahaha. Cheers mate.

Opti - Nicest guy ever. Thanks for the support!! My partner's so jealous of your physique :)

Big John - Thanks for the advices on warming up lol. How bout I put my Tonga flags up on the car on the way home haha. And we're soo gonna karate chop Japan this Wednesday! Time to wax on, wax off lol.

We had to leave early to go to a birthday so missed out on the BBQ grr.. But big props to the other ladies who competed as well. I was a good 20-25kgs heavier, yet they were lifting around the same numbers. Too much

Thanks so much for your kind words Tonka...it was an awesome day and we couldn't have done it with out the help of quite a few people  ...you inspired many of our lifters with your encouraging words and outstanding lifting. I would say there are going to be a few more signing up for upcoming APA comps and the like. As for the food well cake is now a tradition post comp  Hope your build up to NI's goes well..will see you there

Well done Damo and Rach

Hey Troy thanks for running a really efficient team of spotter/loaders. You guys did a mountain of work and did it with ease. Kudos to you my friend

Cheers PNW...sorry I didn't get to chat much..it was pretty full on aye  Yes your first comp can be a bit daunting but you handled yourself really well. And you have got a great strength base and you did it RAW..no belts/wraps impressive!!! We have your cert and prize at CBC so you'll have to come up and get it  and of course smash some tin with the girls at the same time \:D/

Tonkas 370 squat  :

This lift for me was the highlight of the day ... what does it for me is the first un racked, reracked and then unracked again and nailed it. Amazing focus ...

Opti - Nicest guy ever. Thanks for the support!! My partner's so jealous of your physique :)

If he had to pay to feed it he may think twice :lol:appreciated :)
