AB's lead up to WC

so there is a game vs fiji then shortened tri nations before the world cup, just wondering at to what your thoughts are in having the tri nations before world cup, good vs bad? injuries?

You would think we will be playing our best 15 during tri nations, but alot of potential for injuries...anyone know whehther heinekein cup is before WC? will northern hemisphere teams be playing as much rugby pre WC?

I think we need some hard competition going in to the WC. Injuries are a freak occurence and are just as likely to occur during WC as the TN. Not playing hard opponents in an attempt to 'preserve' the players will only soften them up.

like what happened last WC when we only let abs play half of super 12, and we ended up leaving in the quarters which was our worst WC peformance in history...what did they call the lay off during super 12 again??

TN's a good thing, gives the lesser experienced guys some game time and ability to build confidence.. But to be fair, I don't think anyone will really care about the results. Will be interesting to see if NZ and Oz will do what the Bok's did in 07 and rest the main players for the world cup.
