Just started working out this week, joined the forums so i can share my experiences and keep motivated. Ive always kept fit but never pushed myself beyond the average but this is what im doing now.

Stats:

20year old male

179cm tall

78kgs

Looking to get bigger but remain physically athletic. First milestone is to hit 80kgs which is a weight i have never been before and have found it hard to get there as i have a fast metabolism, its slowed down a bit now though so hopefully ill get there.

Looking forward to becoming part of the community

cheers,

Awsome thats good to know, ive got the time and motivation so i will be going hard.

Im after a bit of size but mainly more definition, strength and endurance. Maybe in a few months after ive created a good base to work from ill look at getting quite a bit bigger.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone :D

Thg: I did a little bit of reading up on Hypotrophy training and as i understand it you get results largly in size but not necessarily strength? is that correct?

I want to get bigger but not a huge amount, and the muscle/weight that i do gain i want to be able to use it practically and for it to be utiliseing its full potential in strength. For example you know how sometimes you see the big guy at the gym with the smaller training partner but the smaller guy is still doing all the same reps and weights as the big guy? i'd rather be that little guy because i want to be able to run as fast or even faster than i can now, jump higher and lift heavier etc without crossing that line of practicality if you know what i mean.
