I'm 19 and a student so ideally I don't wana be paying about $2 a serving yano!

BodyScience Myocytin, $150RRP for 2.5kg, so likely $135 at 10% discount.

That makes it $54 per kg, compare that to other creatine formulas.

If you take a standard creatine, 7/10 gms is "passed" out of the system, with Myocytin's inclusion of carbs & electrolytes (particularly Magnesium) it locks the creatine into the muscle so you hold 7/10 gms.

This is the creatine used by NZ Kiwi's; 9 NRL teams; 3 Super Rugby teams; Steve Orton ....................and me:)

Just go for some creatine mono. Despite the claims of some manufacturers selling all sorts of other types like CEE etc, it's actually quite stable.

In fact, some of the studies of creatine monohydrate effectiveness were given in hot tea and coffee.

Creatine is fine in warm water, it actually dissolves completely within a minute or two.

.....forgot to mention and hope this doesn't get me killed on my next visit to Christchurch.

Mycocytin is also used by the Queensland Reds, now I'm not saying they won because of it, but it had to be worth two of the last 3 points.

I hear that the ref Stu Dickenson's optometrist uses regular Monohydrate

Yeah but what does it work out as per kg ov creatine monohydrate with that stuff? About $600?

Just buy some cheap creatine monohydrate and take it with raro or something.

I think you'll find it works out at over $700 when you buy enough to give you 1kg of Creatine Monohydrate.

The label says it's about 80% Dextrose and 7.5% Creatine Monohydrate

The value is not in the creatine you ingest, its in the creatine you retain- the dextrose is merely a shuttle that gets it in the muscle.

Its the addition of the correct electrolytes that RETAIN the creatine in the muscle to work.

Yes you can go out and buy your own mono/dextrose/electrolytes and Magnesium - and you may even get it cheaper after all the shopping and running around (I don't know).

I used to do the Raro and Mono over a decade ago after plain mono didn't work (research term is "non responder") but the raro made no difference.

I'm saying that good Creatine formula's (including Myocytin among others that are also good) are better than straight Mono.

If mono works for you, then great you don't need it, it doesn't work for me (BSc do a straight Mono too - and it doesn't work for me either).

Well, I cannot argue with your personal experience, if you feel it works better for you - great. I certainly wouldn't suggest an IFBB Pro isn't getting results!

But I'm sure most people will see no difference between this and mono + dextrose. The facts don't appear to support that one of these proprietary formulas is any more effective than mono + dextrose (which is basically what it is). So for those not sponsored by the company who need to fork out the cash, you can probably feel safe to buy the same amount of creatine monohydrate and dextrose and save yourself over $100.
