Supplement Trial

Recommended Posts

Hi guy, I'm about to start taking 3 supplements and was curious as to what everyone else thinks about them and the combination.

I'll be taking Eat Me WPI 30g, morning and post workout with water to try 'protein pulsing'. http://www.simplyshredded.com/optimizin ... -barr.html

Creapure® Creatine from Eat me, with a normal loading phase followed by the standard maintenance

and Hydroxycut Hard Core pro with their recommended dose of 2 pills 3 times daily (upon waking, lunch, and pre workout)

My diet will otherwise be loosely paleo,

7am:

Eat Me WPI 30g with water

Creatine

Hydroxycut

9am:

2 cups steamed veg

1 Rasher Bacon

2 Fried Eggs

1pm:

Diced Carrot

Diced Courgette

Roasted Chicken Breast 150g

Mayonnaise

Lettuce

Tomato

Hydroxycut

3pm: (pre workout)

hydroxycut

4pm: (post workout)

Eat Me WPI in water

Creatine

7pm:

150-200g of meat

Fried Brussel Sprouts

Steam green Beans

Roasted Cauliflower

My workout at the moment is very simple, focusing on full body movements.

I work out at the gym mon, wed, fri, with a split program alternating.

Program A:

Warm up with 1 set of press-ups normally 30-40

Dumbbell Bench-press

15kg x12 fast

27.5kg x 10

30.0kg x 8

32.5kg x 6

Squats

20kg x 20

60kg x 20

80kg x16

100kg x 12

Chin ups(with maximum range of motion)

bodyweight x12

bodyweight x8

bodyweight x6

I finish with a myotatic crunch with 15kg held above my head, moving slowly, 2 x 10.

Program B:

Warm up with 1 set of press-ups, normally 30-40.

Deadlifts

20kg x 20

60kg x 20

80kg x 18

100kg x 10

Pull-ups

bodyweight x10

bodyweight x6

bodyweight x5

I finish with a myotatic crunch with 15kg held above my head, moving slowly, 2 x 10.

On top of this I road bike with intervals for about 40-60 minutes 3-4 times per week, and training for my sport fencing Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun for approx 2-3 hours each time.

My goals long term are to get to a solid muscle level (not overly built but far from small) with a ripped physique.

Current Stats:

Height: 1m 89cm (6'2")

Weight: 81.5kg

BF%: on or around 10%

Aim:

Weight: 8kg

BF%: 5-7%

The goal of this month of supplement trial will be to bring my body fat down to about 7%, then i'll try to go into a clean bulk phase.

Thoughts? Advice? Criticism?

I don't think you should be cutting, your 6"2 at 81kgs, your 3-4 inches taller than me and I weigh 82kgs and consider myself to still be quite lean even though i am in bulking phase. Scrap the cut and go for bulk till sept-oct then use your hydroxycut + good diet to cut down fat.

I dont see any benefits in cutting now IMO, just a waste of time.

Are you wanting to bulk during summer? if so then you can go for your cut, but dont seem like you have enough muscle to make it look aesthetic pleasing as of yet...

since you are new, training hard with good diet should see some good gains in next 4-5 months :D

Mate, I got hungry just lookng at your diet! In my opinion, with all the activity you do, you gotta put some more 'gas in the tank' in the form of such things like oats, rice, kumara etc, not forgetting your good fats.

From what Ive learned, now is not really the time to be cutting - use winter to gain mass. I'm 6'2 and have gone from 85kg to 108kg in 3 years, the only supplement being protein (and more recently creatine and dextrose). The best option is eating good food, and lots of it. I would rather spend money on meat, fish and chicken than pills and powder. I know the supplements are really tempting 'cos they promise so much, but at the end of the day it all comes down to eating and training right.

Cheers
