Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good pre-workout for my running/cardio?

I have used superpump and N.O explode before- tried my flatmates pwr ( got all itchy .. beta alanine doing this?)

I basically looking for something to give me the boost on demand as I have uni all day and work a job so its hard to be cranked up and rearing to go a lot of the time.

Thanks guys

You could try H-Blocker by isatori, supposed to help buffer lactate acid build up in muscles, does have some stim as well (caffeine i think). A friend of mine uses it for rugby - reckons its real good.

In regards to why i need a sup for cardio:

Well, it's not totally necessary.. but I work pretty crappy hours - sometimes late shifts, sometimes day shifts and my sleeping patterns all get out of whack. It's just sometimes hard to generate the energy to have an effective workout.

I find that I often end up 'plodding' and just doing the time, rather than making pushing myself. And I'm not just being lazy, it's down to mental and physical exhaustion. My kai is pretty good to. Get a good balance. I know i shouldn't rely on a sup to get me through, but if there was something i could take on particularly sluggish, knackered days - then hit me!!

Thanks heaps :)

Nah you must have got old super pump because the new super pump max is not legal to sell here but there's gonna be a different version what will be legal to sell here that is gonna launch later this year and you can buy it then.

It's not a lack of motivation. Definitely not. It's the intensity of the workout really..

I guess you could argue that you need motivation to work at a high level of intensity, but sometimes when exhaustion kicks in, it's a mission to do an effective workout. Just need to establish balance, rather than burning candle at both ends.

There is a fantastic pre workout supp over here in Aus called Define8.

It's got your normal caffiene, arginine and beta alanine but doesn't have any 1-3 Dim. Alot of girls use it before a spin class, etc so I gave it a try. It's amazing. Doesn't give you a big hit at the start then go down hill after an hour or so, it just gradually comes on and you feel energized and focused for ages. It's a great supp to take before cardio sessions esp the longer ones.

Hope it's for sale in NZ
