just looking online now gonna buy some to help with recovery

anyone recommend a particular brand/model ?

also would the long tights or just quad length shorts be better ?

have heard bsc and 2xu are the best.

They work for me.

I first started wearing them after getting really sore legs from playing touch rugby 2x a week, i would go home have a shower and put them on straight away and sleep in them. The difference was really noticable the next morning, way less muscle and joint soreness.

I tested a few times by not wearing them one week then using them the week after, i love them.

I used the Skins.

For weight training though they didnt give me the same relief from DOMS i was hoping for, they did seem to make a difference but not as much as when playing touch.

Each to their own needs really, with the many and varied leg issues/niggles I've had they have benefited me during weight training. Its more noticable when I train without them after using them for a while.

The brand I use are designed to offer targetted compression to the muscles in relation to the direction of the muscle fibres, activating them accordingly. I went from Leg pressing 400 with knee wraps to 440k without knee wraps.

I find they also offer similar recovery to doing hot/colds in the shower - which is very effective but brutal.

I know of first division teams in NPC using BSc compression socks (under their sponsors team socks).
